Membership Alliance

Membership Benefits

Membership is open to current and prospective Black male educators anywhere on the school-to-career pathway, including: high school students, classroom teachers, principals, administrators and deans, as well as those in other jobs/careers considering a career change to teaching. Recruitment is ongoing with formal inductions held twice a year.

To be a member in good standing, we expect everyone to support at least one current Fellowship member and at least one prospective one. Support can take many forms, including mentorship, academic tutoring, test prep, technical assistance, professional guidance, career networking and social events.

Beyond the invaluable support from mentors and peers alike, benefits to membership also include a first look at Fellowship’s education policy initiatives, research briefs and ongoing curation of industry-related developments, as well as early notices of upcoming Fellowship events.

Allyship

We also seek out and encourage all others who believe in our mission of educational equity to join forces with the Fellowship as “allies” by providing support through partnerships, sponsorships, contributions, and volunteering. Our call for allies is a simple one: if you value diversity among the teaching corps that educates all our children, help us recruit and retain the best Black male educators.
